Do you have bad breath?

This condition is a social taboo! Not many people discuss the issue as most people think that it is rude to be honest and say " you have bad breath". With the recent advances in the knowledge, we can now test for the condition and let you know if you suffer from " BAD BREATH"

It is really very hard to tell if you have bad breath, most people cup their hands over their mouth and sniff the air, this doesn't work.The reason that this does not work is that the unpleasant oder is only released when we talk.

The tests

1. Pull your tongue forward with one hand, and with the other wipe the back of your tongue for about 15 seconds with a clean cotton ball. Wait for a few minutes and sniff the ball; if it smells bad this could mean that you have bad breath ______________________________________________ 2. Floss a few of your back teeth with a piece of unflavoured, unwaxed dental floss. Again, wait a few minutes and then sniff the floss, It's likely that this is what your breath smells like. ______________________________________________ 3. Ask a family member to be honest and indicate to you when talking face to face whether they can smell any bad breath. ______________________________________________ 4. Lick the back of your clean hand, leave to dry for 5 minutes and smell the hand. Unfortunately, none of these methods are foolproof. A visit to our office for an examination is only way to find out. We initially check your gums and teeth and perform deep cleaning to remove all bacterial deposits that contain volatile sulphur compounds. This will cost £105.00 per session and you may need several sessions to thoroughly decontaminate your teeth and gums. We will show you how to clean your teeth, gums and tongue and use an appropriate mouth wash and cleaning agents to maintain and control the condition.
